Dr. Oliver Sacks believes music has the power to heal people who suffer from mental

problems.

Sacks, who is a professor at Columbia University, studied several people with various

psychologicaldiseases.

In a new book called Musicophilia, Sacks writes about several examples in which people

with mental illnesses were helped by music.
